Opening Rally, 7pm
The mass movement and election of Chavez in Venezuela have inspired millions. Roland Denis, Venezuelan activist and former minister of the Chavez government, belongs to a network of rank and file activists called the 13 April Movement. He brings news from the “revolution within the revolution” and will join Lindsey German, convenor of the Stop the War Coalition, Oliur Rahman, Respect councillor and Hassan Jumaa, Iraqi Trade Unionist. Opening short film, 15 minutes: stunning photographs of the global struggle by Jess Hurd.
